Collection: Original Canvas Works

To those who collect,

I am one of Mary's babies, raised in the red dirt and rodeo dust of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and shaped in the heart of Georgia. Together, those places taught me that a person is never only themselves, but the land, lineage, and stories that raised them.

That perspective shapes every painting I make. My work explores memory, place, and the quiet moments that define our lives, drawing from Black family archives, cultural history, and the beauty of ordinary experience. I am less interested in documenting the South than honoring what it taught me: that memory is a responsibility, stories are a form of care, and the things we choose to preserve become part of our inheritance.

Each canvas is an original, painted entirely by hand and created as a one-of-one work. I value craftsmanship, materiality, and the time it takes to make something with intention. My hope is that each painting becomes more than something you collect. I hope it becomes something you live with, return to, and pass on, carrying its own story alongside yours.
